I was born in South Wales but as a child, the family emigrated to Canada. Hugh and I married in 1977 and we now have four married children and nine grandchildren ranging in age from 7 months to 20 years old. Our one son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren live in Northern Ireland and the rest of the children and grandchildren presently reside in Ontario, Canada.
My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Religious Education at Emmanuel Bible College in Kitchener, Ontario and then I commenced the first year of an MA course at Conrad Grebel Mennonite Theological College in Waterloo, including several courses in their Peace and Conflict Studies Programme. My husband Hugh and I moved to Shropshire in 2006. I trained for ministry at Queen’s College in Birmingham where I received a Master of Arts Degree in Applied Theological Studies with a dissertation project in Alzheimer’s and Spirituality, the personal experience I gained from caring for a family member with Alzheimer’s and as a chaplain at a residential care home helped to feed into this study.
My first ministerial appointment began in 2012 with the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District in the Shropshire & Marches Circuit. I am interested in joining in with the mission of God where He is already at work in the Wiltshire Area and encouraging the congregation in their special gifts of ministry. I would like to continue my online studies with an emphasis on church growth. My hobbies include, walking, reading, listening to music, travel, and recently crocheting blankets for some of the grandchildren.

I come, originally, from Cardiff in South Wales. I was a member of a united URC/Methodist Church until I applied for ministerial training and went to study in Manchester.
My first pastorate was with two United Reformed Churches in the West Midlands. I then took a career break while my children were small and enjoyed being part of a local community in Hertfordshire with other parents and studied for an M.A in applied theology and mission.
Returning to Ministry I served in a URC in Bristol for 15 years where I was involved in the rebuilding and development of the church buildings for community use, the exploration of the Bible with the congregation, arranging several pilgrimages to Iona and was Chair of the Bristol Multi Faith Forum.
I have served on the URC Mission Committee and Mission Council.
I have 2 grown up children. My interests include cooking, knitting, occasional art projects, reading and I enjoy walking and gardening.
